Customise your Index page with any external assistance!
The new website customisation feature is now available. You can make bespoke index pages for your websites completely unique by adding images, editing .html and .css codes. If you have a complete idea about the design you would like, sometimes it’s much easier to fulfill it without having to explain it to a designer or a middleman.
However If you are not on a creative side yourself, maybe a freelance designer could help? It’s worth considering as you could achieve a much improved layout. This feature is currently only available for the index pages. You can request any changes to the internal pages by contacting our support team. Any feedback or an idea for a website feature you give us will be much appreciated.
To edit the index page of your site, go to the Design gallery and use the ‘Custom Index theme’ option. You will be able to monitor the changes being made in real time.

Choosing a domain name for your white label dating site
It’s easy to rush into things and build a white label dating site without giving much thought to what the domain name should be.
If you are serious about entering the dating market and generating an additional revenue source, you should not underestimate the importance of selecting a relevant domain name for your project. Your site needs to stand out from the crowd because competition in the dating market is fierce.
So put your creative hat on. First, think of the type of visitor you are planning to attract and the kind of dating service you would like to offer. Maybe you want to offer casual dating to men and women over 30 or mainstream/traditional dating to single men who work for the army. Whatever your target audience is, your domain name should relate to it.
Visitors to your white label dating site should feel a connection to the domain name, should identify with it. For example, if your target audience are people between 18 and 35 and you are going for casual or flirty dating, the domain maturedating.com is probably not appropriate; this name would suggest the dating site is for singles who are not that young and could be looking for a serious relationship, not casual fun.
Another element you should take into account is your domain extension; i.e. .com, .co.uk, etc. It would not make a lot of sense to choose a .co.uk domain if you are only planning to target singles in United States. I think you get the idea, make sure the extension is suitable for your target audience.
Some people have a bit of trouble thinking of a good domain name. You could use rhyme, domain suggestion tools or even ccTLDs (country code top-level domains) – for example, one of our partners runs http://www.devilin.me – his target market is Montenegro so he chose a .me extension, but when you read the domain name in one go, you read ‘devil in me’, so a clever combination of name and extension could give you the perfect domain.
The list of potential domain names is endless. There are quite a few extensions you can combine with other words to send an attractive message to your target audience; just to name a couple, .be (e.g. date2.be), .at (e.g. dateme.at, meetme.at), etc.
A known risk of choosing a domain name using this technique though, is the effect that it can have on SEO, some experts would recommend not to use the domain extension as the last word of a sentence your audience can read as one line. However, you know your SEO plan better than anybody else and this technique may still be ok when backed up by other elements such as meta tags and keyword optimisation.
In a nutshell, make sure your dating domain reflects the type of dating service you are offering and helps visitors understand what kind of people they are likely to find on the site. Make your white label dating domain name as relevant as you possible can.
Free marketing for your white label site

If you reckon you are not in a position to invest heavily on promoting your white label dating website just now, this shouldn’t stop you from taking action. There are ways in which you can market your dating site for free. Take a look at these options:
- Write a press release
Not only the search engines need to know about your website but also people, they are the ones that will ultimately visit your dating site so let them know your site is live! A press release doesn’t need to cost the earth or burn a whole in your pocket. If you are not comfortable writing copy then find a friend who does and ask for help. But whatever you do, your press release should contain some basic elements:
a. A catchy headline to attract the reader’s attention
b. A two to three line paragraph summary that gives the reader a good idea of what your release is about
c. A body. Here is where you present your story in full detail; try to include as much information as you can and think of your audience. What sort of details do I need to include to make people sign up to my white label site?
d. Include some editorial notes for journalists or webmasters that may want to publish your release. Company name, website and contact details are essential.
e. Your release should contain relevant keywords and your keywords should be those that your target audience is likely to use when searching for dating; e.g. ‘singles in London’.
There are free press release submission websites and there are others that will charge for this. You can submit for free to http://www.i-newswire.com To find more free submission websites, you can simply perform a search on Google for the terms ‘free press release submission’ or ‘free press release distribution’.
Newspapers and radio stations have their own news desk, by doing a bit of research you can find their contact details and send your release to them too. Normally their own websites will display this information on links such as ‘Contact Us’, ‘Press’, ‘News Desk’, etc.
- Site submission
Letting the search engines know your site exists is pretty essential. You should aim to get a listing in the most important engines and directories; these ones are a ‘must’:
To submit your site to Yahoo, go to http://search.yahoo.com/info/submit.html
To submit to Google: http://www.google.co.uk/addurl/
To submit to DMOZ: http://www.dmoz.org/add.html
- Create a blog
There are websites where you can start your blog for free, this is a fantastic tool to let singles know about your dating website. You can write about the advantages of dating online, stories of friends that may have met online, your own dating experiences, dating tips, etc. The key here is to include relevant keywords again; remember to submit your blog to the search engines and include links to your white label dating website within the copy of your blog. Sites like www.blogger.com and www.wordpress.com give you the chance to build your blog for free.
- Advertise through social networking sites
Popular social networking websites like Facebook, Bebo and MySpace can provide a great advertising platform. Create your profile on these websites and recommend your dating website to friends on your network; you can even create a group on Facebook for people looking for a date and include a link to your website. Use your creativity to attract visitors to your site, make your social networking profile as attractive as you can, think of your main objective: to generate traffic to your white label dating website.
White label dating SEO [part 1]
Understanding the terms “link weight”, “topical relevance”, “internal and external links” is a component of SEO. Assessing how and why a site occupies multiple top 10 positions is not difficult to determine, if you know how and where to look.
Basically, we can assess how and why any web page is ranking for a number of phrases from
• analysis of the site organization
• the links (internal and external)
• the age of the domain name
• the quantity of topical information on the current theme
• the amount of authority the site has developed as a result of momentum and search engine trust.
I`d like to look at the mighty SEO from the side of white label dating.
From the list above white label sites can get the most advantage from link building.

Right now there are a lot of sources ready to share its PageRank in the internet.
[Page Rank – Page rank is a value that Google assigns to a web page based on the importance of the page on the internet that is determined by the number of incoming links to that web page and few other factors. © e-articles.info]
Every page within internet has own PR (note: not site, but PAGE!).
Free software for white label affiliates
In my last blog I had a go at explaining how to make money building a white label website.
This time I thought I would give you some tips to generate traffic to your website. I assume you’ve built it! If not, hey, go back to my previous blog and you’ll find out how you can make money as a white label affiliate.
I started my first white label without much money to spend so I had to find ways to get traffic that wouldn’t cost me the earth. If you are not prepared to spend money promoting your site or don’t have the money just now, don’t despair, here are some tips:
1) Fast Blog Finder: http://www.fastblogfinder.com/
You can search for blogs that are relevant to your dating site or your industry. You then post your own comments on those blogs and include a link to your website in them. Readers of those blogs will see your link and may click on it.
2) CleverStat: http://www.cleverstat.com/en/
Here you can download ‘PaRaMeter’ – the best free software to find out what your page rank is. If you haven’t heard of Page Rank before then you should look it up! A good Page Rank means a lot for your website. In that link you’ll also find other tools to help you analyse the performance of your website.
Freelancers, affiliates and white labels
Thanks to the World Wide Web freelancers and affiliates can earn an income whilst working from the comfort of their own homes. This lifestyle option is becoming more popular because it’s flexible and it’s convenient.
As an affiliate or freelancer, you are in control of your own time. As a freelancer, you just make sure you deliver what you’ve been asked to deliver. As an affiliate you can actually decide what projects to spend most of your time on based on how much money you estimate you can earn.
Whether you are a freelancer or an affiliate, you are probably interested in finding ways of making money online and the white label model should appeal to you.
If you are not familiar with the concept of ‘white label’, I’ll explain. The term ‘white label ‘is often used to describe a B2B service where you are able to offer someone else’s services/products under your own brand.
Why choose the white label model
1. It doesn’t require huge investment.
2. You can put your own skills to good use, in areas such as graphic design, marketing, programming, SEO, etc.
3. Setup is usually free
4. You can build and promote your own brand, not someone else’s.
5. There’s no hassle; a good white label service will offer you all you need to get started.
6. You generate commissions or benefit from a revenue share agreement
