Using keyword-rich domains for your future dating site

One of the clever SEO techniques is to use a domain which also represents a keyword. This kind of set up can help to elevate your domain to the top of the search results. As you know, Google puts a filter on each new site for several months and there’s no way to avoid it. The filter itself excludes all new sites from the SERP for the popular keywords, even if you have created lots of static pages with unique and relevant content. Your site may not be present in Google for a good couple of months. However there is a technique that can help you promote your site regardless of the filter.

You have to research keyword research using: WordTracker, Google Adwords External Tool, Tool by Seobook, or a similar tool. Keywords with more than 600 requests per month normally deliver a satisfactory level of traffic.

Let’s imagine that keyword ‘meet singles nearby’ has 3600 requests per month.

After generating a list of keywords, you can start checking the domains availability. Of course, some of the domains containing competitive keywords may already be taken. Especially the .com or .net ones are very popular. In the dating industry it is not a good idea to go for .info or .biz domains as they are not relevant for dating sites. We would suggest using regional domains ending with .co.uk, .co.za, .us, .ca and so on. Promoting a domain with this kind of a regional TLD on Google is much easier than promoting one ending.com for example. So, let’s consider the situation where the domain ‘meet singles nearby’ is available in the South African zone .co.za. We would then register a domain name – meetsinglesnearby.co.za.

If you were then to use this domain to promote a White Label dating website you would need to point it to our IP address. A very important next step after you pointed the domain would be to write at least 5 keyword-rich articles and add them to your site as static pages. At this point you should also add optimized text on the index page. Now, if you have another resource, a site indexed by Google you should consider adding a link to your new site. The link anchor could be ‘Meet Singles Nearby’ or ‘ meetsinglesneraby.co.za’. Now all you have to do is wait until Google indexes all pages with the unique content you have added. You should try to get links from trusted resources with PR. Ideally these resources would be yours. Two links would usually sufficient. Remember! It usually takes 2-3 weeks to reach TOP 3 of Google search results for chosen keywords, especially for a new site!

What keywords to use for dating site promotion?

As we all know, it’s pretty hard to promote a new dating site using keywords like ‘dating’ or ‘online dating’ regardless of how you want to do this, via SEO or PPC. If you want your site to rank higher in the organic search, you have to put a lot of effort to achieve this. Your site has to be well established to gain ‘trust’ from Google. It’s hardly possible for a new site to gain traffic by using these keywords.
‘I can use PPC and straight to the top of the paid results list’ – you can say, but did you check how much do these keywords cost? This is not the best way t, as it is very costly.
So, what to do? How to save money on PPC and attract more visitors? The solution is to use low-frequency keywords! It’s much cheaper, easier and effective. The competition here is not as fierce and if you set yourself a goal, you can bump up your traffic level. Even better news is that the the low-frequency method works great both for both SEO and PPC. So, what are the low-frequency keywords? If the word ‘dating’ is a high-frequency keyword, then ‘local dating in Kirkcudbright’ is a low-frequency one. It’s really easy to get to the Google’s top ranking by using it. These keywords are much cheaper and can get you a great ROI.
There are two strategies of working with these keywords. The first one seems to be the best, but it requires a lot of time. You make research on low-frequency keywords in open services like Google Adwords Keywords Enternal tool or similar. Then you choose around 20 keywords to start with. Check that they deliver traffic and then optimize your site for these keywords. To optimize your site you can use two methods; an internal one – when you add new static pages with content, related to these keywords, or external like for example blogging, or you can use both for the best results. Don’t forget to monitor your site by using Google Analytics.
Another way to save money is to use keyword modifiers. So let’s imagine we want to target the keyword ‘dating service’ and its variations. For this purpose we will use the below table:

for disabled singles in London
for Christian people in Manchester
for black citizens in Liverpool
for Jewish personals in Birmingham

As you can see, the variations can be as follows:
Dating service for disabled people in Manchester.
OR
Dating service for black singles in London.
There are 62 other additional keyword variations. What is great about the modified keywords is that they deliver more qualified traffic. People who search on Google for these keywords, will be more likely to register on your dating site, as it offers the service which is more relevant to them, not just broad ‘dating’.
You can find a lot of scripts online that generate this kind of keywords.
